The Katsina State Government has committed to injecting funds to aid the completion of the new site for the Katsina State Transport Authority (KTSTA) along the Katsina-Kano road in the state capital, Katsina.
This initiative aims to enhance the convenience of passengers utilizing the services provided by the authority.

Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda gave this assurance during the launch of seven new buses, a recent addition to the transport fleet of the authority at the Government House.

Governor Radda acknowledged that the current KTSTA park faces challenges accommodating the growing number of fleets and travelers.

While commending the prudent management of resources by the leadership and management of the Transport Authority, Governor Dikko Radda urged other government agencies in the state to emulate their example. He emphasized that adopting such practices would contribute to building the envisioned future of Katsina State.

Highlighting the impact of increased pump prices due to the withdrawal of fuel subsidies, Alhaji Haruna Musa Rugoji, the General Manager of KTSTA, said that up to sixty percent of the transport fare is now allocated to fuel costs. Despite these challenges, Rugoji revealed that the purchase of seven new buses was made possible using funds generated by the authority during the past seven months of Governor Dikko Radda's administration.

Expressing gratitude, Alhaji Haruna Rugoji thanked the state governor for the acquisition of forty additional buses, demonstrating the commitment to improving transport services in the state. He also acknowledged the governor's vigilance, which played a crucial role in guiding the authority toward maintaining the right path in service delivery.
